About Mesa Pool Acid Wash

Mesa Pool Acid Wash is a locally operated service focused on one thing: restoring pools that have gone stained, scaled, or green. We’re not a weekly cleaning route and we’re not a national franchise. We do drain-and-clean, acid wash, calcium removal, and resurfacing prep, and we do it across Mesa and the East Valley.

Why we only do restoration

Most pool companies chase weekly-service accounts because that’s the recurring revenue. Restoration work — the draining, the acid, the ugly green pools — gets treated as a side job and often gets subcontracted to whoever’s free. We flipped that. Draining a pool, handling muriatic acid safely, keeping plaster wet so it etches evenly, neutralizing the waste, and refilling to the right chemistry is a real skill set, and it’s all we point our crews at. When you specialize in the hard jobs, you stop being surprised by them.

Built for Mesa’s pools specifically

Mesa is one of the densest pool markets in the Phoenix metro, and it’s a tale of two housing eras. West and central Mesa — Dobson Ranch, Sunland Village, the areas near Alta Mesa and Fiesta — is full of pools built in the 1970s and 80s, many on original or second-generation plaster that stains easily and scales hard. East Mesa — Las Sendas, Mountain Bridge, Eastmark — skews newer, with modern pebble finishes that still fall victim to the same brutal hard water. We work both. An older plaster pool and a ten-year-old pebble pool need different hands, and knowing the difference is half the job.

Then there’s the rental and vacant-home reality. Mesa has a lot of investor-owned rentals, snowbird homes that sit empty half the year, and the occasional foreclosure. Those are the pools that go green, and green-pool rescue is a big part of what we do. We’ve seen the pea-green, the swamp-black, and the ones with a frog ecosystem. There’s a right way to bring each one back, and sometimes the honest answer is drain it rather than pour money into balancing dead water.

How we quote

We publish real price ranges because hiding them wastes everyone’s time. Send a photo of the pool — the waterline and the worst of the staining or algae — plus the rough size and your cross streets, and we come back with a flat quote, not an hourly meter. If a photo shows us the plaster is too far gone to acid wash again, we’ll say so and talk about resurfacing prep instead. We’d rather give you the straight answer than sell you a wash that shortens your surface’s life.

What we won’t do

We won’t invent urgency. Green-pool and acid-wash demand is genuinely seasonal — it peaks spring through summer as algae blooms and people open pools for the season — and we’ll tell you if your job can wait for a better price window. We won’t drain your pool to the street storm drain, because Mesa and every East Valley city prohibit it; we drain to your on-property sewer cleanout or an approved point. And we won’t acid wash a plaster shell that should be replastered just to book the job.
